Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a quote for my setting?

Simply drop us a line on 0333 047 2222 or contact info@creativecorridors.co.uk to discuss your project requirements. We will initially ask for some quick snaps on your phone and a rough idea of dimensions. Don’t worry! These can be very rough. We can then provide you with a budget estimate. Once the project is approved, we will undertake a detailed site survey to accurately measure space and finalise the quotation.

What kind of material will you use?

This can vary from setting to setting. We recommend different kinds of material to ensure that we achieve the best result for your environment. Once we have undertaken a site survey, we will be able to suggest which material will best suit your wall surface, taking into account proximity to heat, light and fixtures such as alarm boxes, light switches or pipework.  Some of the materials we may work with are as follows:

  • Acrylic
  • Dibond
  • Foamex
  • Vinyl
  • Wallpaper
  • Window Graphics

How much input do I have with design?

The good news is that you can choose to have as much or as little input into the design as you like! You may have a fixed idea of how you would like your wall to look or you may be happy to leave it to us to work our magic. The choice is yours.

What happens during a school site visit?

Once a school site visit has been booked for a date and time convenient to you and your school, one of our experienced Creative Corridors team will meet with you on site to assess the space and your walls. If you have a school site management agent, it is often a good idea to include them in this meeting to ensure that we take into account any specific working requirements or design restrictions.

During the meeting, we will take detailed measurements of the walls which will enable us to formulate our free quote. We will also propose which materials we think will work best for the wall surfaces your school has. We will endeavour to have your quote turned round within 5 working days of the site meeting.

What kind of surfaces can you cover?

We have solutions for virtually any kind of surface ranging from brickwork to glass, to concrete to wood, plastered and painted surfaces. We also specialise in producing one-way film which gives privacy to windows and glass walls from the outside, without significantly impacting on light levels, inside.

What are your payment terms?

Our usual payment terms are 50% payable on commencement of order and 50% balance payable on completion of your installation. However, these may vary depending on project size. Your Creative Corridors team member will discuss this with you at your school site survey meeting.

How quickly can you start?

This varies depending on the size and scope of your project, but once we have agreed a brief and measured up, designs can usually be produced and fitted within the space of a month.

Does my setting need to be closed when fitting takes place?

The short answer is, no. Whilst it may be preferable to install graphics when the building is quiet, we are used to working in busy environments and accommodating each setting’s schedule, in a safe and efficient manner.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Our onsite teams are all enhanced DBS checked and are trained and insured to work in a range of environments. We have specialist fitters licenced to operate lifting equipment and work at height, should the project require.

What about fire safety?

All of the products we work with are fire retardant to different levels. For further information, please ask one of our team for individual spec sheets.

How long will our wall art last?

This depends on a number of factors including material used, location traffic and whether its indoor or outdoor. All of our materials are selected to be highly durable and resistant to damage, making them ideally suited to busy environments. Whilst no product will withstand persistent, intentional vandalism, we have a range of finishes that can be applied to surfaces that can help prevent damage. These include anti-scuff and anti-graffiti laminates. Ask a Creative Corridors team member for more information.

What happens if our wall art becomes damaged?

Accidental damage can often be repaired. Ask one of our friendly team for an assessment and we can then discuss options with you. Though deliberate damage occasionally occurs, it is less common, as the effects of enhancing a space and making it a pleasant place to be tends to create a more respectful ambience. Again, this kind of damage can often be repaired particularly if the artwork has been treated with anti-graffiti or anti-scuff laminates.

Apart from walls, what else can you apply graphics to?

The good news is that we can apply graphics to lots of different areas! These include, windows, doors, ceilings, vending machines and kiosks. We use a variety of different materials meaning we have solutions for brick, plaster, wood, concrete, glass and plastic. We’re very good at finding solutions, so if you have an idea for a branded area, let us know and we’ll find a way to make it work!

I have a tricky space that I would like to brand. Can you help?

Absolutely! We work with a range of specialist access equipment that means hard to reach or high spaces can be reached safely and effectively.
